Welcome to the official website of the Abdul Kalam Vision Society, an esteemed non-governmental organization (NGO) passionately dedicated to implementing the visionary ideals of Dr. Abdul Kalam Azad. Inspired by the life and teachings of this renowned scientist, statesman, and humanitarian, our organization is driven by the belief that every individual has the power to create positive change.
Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam is more than just a word or a name; he is an everlasting source of inspiration and a beacon of hope for the youth in our society. At the Abdul Kalam Vision Society, we are fortunate to have a team of dedicated volunteers who serve as pillars of trust, touching the lives of thousands of individuals in need. Our motto is rooted in the preservation, conservation, and enhancement of both our precious natural environment and the well-being of humanity. We commit ourselves to uplift the overall quality of life in rural areas, striving to make a tangible difference in the lives of those we serve.
We strive to embody the principles and values espoused by Dr. Kalam and channel his vision into actionable initiatives that uplift communities, empower youth, and contribute to the holistic development of our nation.
The inception of the association – a brief history
On Nov 2015, 8 years back, Mr. John Ramamoorthy invited Mr Ponraj to come to Singapore to plant Abdul Kalam’s Vision in Singapore. Then he approached Mr Rajid, who in turn introduced Mr Arumai Chandran. They arranged an event to tribute to Dr Abdul Kalam through Tamil Patti Mandra Kalagam, and then started all the volunteer works from the event.
Then Mr. John asked Mr Rajid to register Dr. Abdul Kalam’s vision in Singapore and do volunteer work legally. Then he approached Mr Kalamohan and he agreed immediately and supported me.
The seed was planted by Dr Ponraj when he gave an inspirational speech to the team in Singapore during the event started by Tamil Patti Mandra Kalagam.
From the seed, now we are seeing the tree with lot of members. We started our volunteer work and social work from year 2015 onward already. That is real history.
In Singapore, already one whatsapp group was there here for fans of Dr.Abdul Kalam, Mr Arumai Chandran helped to merge with that group, then Mr Anbalagan came into the picture, then Mr Anbalagan approached Mr Kesavapany and he came to the picture and then Mr Jothi Manickam, then Mr Ameerali entered thru Mr Kesavapany, then rest all came together. Mr Ameerali & Arumai Chandran worked very hard to prepare the documents for the registration, and formed Exco team and registration completed and started the society. All our individual volunteers were approached and visited to join AKVS and formed a new WhatsApp group with all our members as AKVS members.
